On April 12th, I had the incredible honor of capturing the vibrant and tradition-rich wedding of Maryam and Mohamed at the stunning Pabla Punjabi Palace in Seattle. As a wedding photographer in Seattle, it’s always a joy to witness and document different cultures and traditions, and this Somali wedding was truly a celebration to remember.
The day was filled with color, energy, and emotion. Maryam, the radiant bride, showcased her cultural heritage through two breathtaking traditional Somali outfits. Each dress was adorned with intricate details and vibrant colors, celebrating the beauty and depth of Somali culture. From the rich fabrics to the elegant jewelry, every element was a photographer’s dream, creating timeless images full of meaning and pride.
Later in the evening, Maryam changed into a classic white bridal gown — a stunning moment that marked a shift in the celebration. It was during this time that Mohamed, the dashing groom, made his grand entrance, joining Myriam and their guests for the rest of the evening’s festivities. The energy in the room soared as family and friends welcomed the newly united couple with joyful dancing, singing, and heartfelt blessings.
The atmosphere at Pabla Punjabi Palace was electric — a perfect backdrop for capturing candid moments, lively traditions, and emotional exchanges. The couple’s love story, combined with the vibrant Somali traditions, made for an unforgettable wedding day and a rich collection of wedding photographs.
As a photographer specializing in wedding photography in Seattle, events like these remind me of why I love what I do. It’s not just about taking pictures; it’s about telling a story — a story of love, culture, family, and community.
If you’re looking for someone to capture the magic of your special day with an artistic and heartfelt touch, whether you’re planning a traditional, cultural, or modern wedding in Seattle, I would love to hear your story.
Congratulations Maryam and Mohamed — your wedding day was a true reflection of love, tradition, and joy!
